I've always enjoyed the optimism Sawyer and Tristan display over even the smallest of prospects. This morning, before I'd even been able to get out of bed Sawyer came in to ask:
"Mom can you buy eggnog?"
"They don't sell it at the store except at Christmas."
"When it's Christmas can you buy eggnog?"
"Yes."
"Woohoo! " And then he went skipping down the hall, hands held high in triumph, yelling, "Tristan, when it's Christmas, Mommy can buy eggnog at the store!"
"Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!" they both celebrated.
Do you remember when all it took to make you do the kid-dance was the prospect of eggnog, in 8 months?
Children have a lot of faith.
