Art Exhibit

Hey, Kiki has a new post for her artwork. Here is her blog:
http://keekeedee.wordpress.com/

Some of the pictures date all the way back to Christmas!

What Do You Call These?

Guess what the kids thought these cookies looked like?
That's right.

Despite their questionable appearance, Ethan approved. This is the same method used by Caesar, deciding the fate of the gladiators.

Can you tell Kiki is tired of getting her picture snapped all day long?

At Lunch Today.....

This is for Haj. Homemade Ranch Dressing, yum.
This picture may not seem that significant until you know the audio behind it. Notice that our guest, Ethan, is the only one looking at me....
This is because I've just sung at full volume "When I was a little-bitty-boy, just up off the floor, we used to go down to Grandma's house every month-end or so!" In a voice like 'Mama's' from "The Carol Burnett Show". My kids are used to me doing nonsensical things. In robust form. They don't even pause anymore.

Guessing Game

Can you guess what Daisy is intent on doing?

Don't bite the rabbit haunches!

It's hard for me to resist squeezing the rabbits. It must be torture for a dog. Todd built a really nice pen for them to frolic in the grass outside. But it's still buried in the snow. So they frolic on the rug. Under watchful eyes.

Can you guess what Sawyer had for lunch?

Kid Questions....

Remember when you had time to think of questions like these:

"Mom, can you make your cheeks go bigger without using air?"

"Mom, can forever get any bigger?"

"Mom, can there be more colors? Ones we haven't seen?"

And Sawyer's favorites:

Can I please have dat coffee? Why?
Can you drop me off at dat hotdog place? Why?
Can we have dat birfday cake? For breakfast? Why?
Can I please have dat fing? ( a credit card) Why?

And remember when all before breakfast you had time to build a castle?

And run out to play grabbing whatever gloves you could find, and not worry what your hair looked like?

When the most important thing in your day was make believe?

I miss those days. sigh But it's really fun to relive them vicariously.

First Warm Day

Today it was warm enough to go without jackets. Still had to wear the boots though. In case you wanted to take a break from biking and skateboarding to go build a snowman or something.

Sawyer chose the scooter, and swordplay.

Tristan chose weaponry and...

The Blair Tree Project

Greyson chose crouching.

Kiki chose dog training.

And Daisy chose looking good.

Muffin Shy

I remembered the sugar. But Sawyer is a little skittish around muffins now. They must pass a rigorous inspection.
Visual Exam

Olfactory exam

Taste test.

Conclusion: Passes inspection, washes down nicely with milk.

The other kids have their own way of making sure they taste good....
