Teaching the Younger Generation How Not to Excel

The kids love to play computer games on a website called Webkinz. Kiki recently got very good at playing one of the games and received the following message:

Award Fail
Notice how the "Final Score" has "NaN" as the tally.  We think this stands for (sing-song voice) "nan,nan,nan,nan-nan!"
This note qualifies as passive-aggressive if you quote it with the emphasis on the word "not"--"Your score will NOT be submitted and your KInzCash will NOT be awarded. So there."

Kids are so cool that just to get that label will be the new goal, who cares about the Kinzcash!

I like the "oops!"

"louste" - the runner-up to mustache as the name for facial hair above the lip.

Yes, I noticed that too. As if "oops" makes up for it.
I love your word definition, that's JUST what it means.

oh, man... this is sick...
true confessions: when i saw the webkinz screen, i automatically clicked 'OK' on the picture!! SOMEONE'S been playing too much webkinz! LOLLL

but that is so wrong. i do NOT like that message. if you tell me kiki's webkinz name, i'll send her something from kinz post to make up for it. probably a food item i learned how to make from chef gazpacho.

"redgerst" - not to be confused with bluegerst

poor kiki. but if you're curious, NaN is computer nerd for "not a number", so instead of poor kiki, it's more like "way to go, kiki, your score was so high they don't even make numbers that big"

Really! Cool! She says her name is
pandalove322, you are such a good mom, I don't even know what Kinz post is or that you can send stuff. Or if I've committed a big taboo by posting this name . Let me know and I'll delete it.
NaN means not a number?! Am I the only one who doesn't know this?
Kiki's standing here assuring me that she knows everything about Webkinz.

tell kiki that apikit and buzzyman4 are friends, and not foes. ;)

i don't know which game she was playing, but jumbleberry fields is my absolute favorite right now.

my kids each have their favorites. i will play for whoever has less kinz cash. ;)

Ok, duly noted. Did your kids make up those names? They crack me up.

yes, and considering that phoebe was 4 years old when she came up with "apikit" it really makes me wonder if we're feeding her enough.

melideli - what i heard in the swiss alps: melideli hooooooo!
