Strangest Things My Kids Have Said

"Mom, who was the first person ever to think of chewing with your mouth closed?"
"I don't know, Tristan, that's a good question."
"I think I know.  I think it was me."

Now pretend there is a darling picture of Tristan here, chewing with apple in his mouth, his lips pressed tightly together.  Pretend I did not get this message instead: Unable to upload file (DSC_0213.JPG) because the site has exceeded its file upload quota.
And if anyone knows what that means, please inform.  Is this the end of "What's Going On Here?"
No more pictures?
No more creative outlet?
No more purpose?
The rug has been ripped out from under me.
Remember that picture of the tulip I posted just the other day?
It had opened it's delicate petals in promise of the sun's warmth and care...
...and had gotten a face full of slush.
I feel like I'm in 7th grade all over again. It was a tough year.

The truth is, the truth is, His hand is behind, before, and upon me, and just like I survived being told in 7th grade that "if you stood sideways and stuck out your tongue, you'd look like a zipper",  I will survive not being able to post pictures anymore. And God knows, maybe something will happen to fix it all.

I'll keep you posted.

uh oh. so, can you "pay" for a deluxe membership and get more storage space to upload pics? or will you have to abandon this one and start a new one? which doesn't seem like the right thing to do... i don't know!
i pay for a "premium" membership on xanga for 1) more storage space for pics and videos and 2) no raunchy ads. ugh they are bad.

this cannot be the end of "what's going on here" as we know it!

"pardi" - whad i don'd feel lige doing ride now.

"unfer" - this seems really un-FER, but i guess there's no such thing as a free lunch.

Sorry, I couldn't resist the next word.

llllllllllll, very fitting.
Okay, so now I know, premium or extra or now-we-gotcha pay more membership. sigh. I KNEW it was too good to be true. I kept thinking, what does blogger get out of all these blogs? There's ALWAYS a catch. Except for the free umbrella story.

Oh, Cynthia, your sentiments and your humor make me feel you are secretly a long-lost Hays family member!

Missy! To whom can we write in protest? Where can we form a picket line?! All of that to express to YOU how much I would miss What's Going On Here, as if I had no God.

But, I do, of course, and He has me. I won't rebel. I'll make my requests be made known to God with thanksgiving.

And if the answer is that the blogpeople want more money, I am willing to contribute!

peedlet: An even smaller morsel than the very small piece of something sticky stuck to your hand Georgie informed us was a "peeda podder".

Actually, I think Cynthia would be a long-lost member of Missy's and my immediate family, right? It seems to come down that line.

scinglys: Tiny, nearly microscopic peedlets hanging from a peeda podder.

"fluts" - the wisps by which scinglys hang.

Okay, I think I'm done.

llllllllllllll, just think if we didn't have a Georgie, no peeda podder!

aw, you guys are sweet. i really do feel like i "get" you guys, or you "get" me. of course, we call descended from eve. i'll bet she was a cut-up. she had to have a good sense of humor, seeing as how she bore so many children.

ce, i wish i had spent more time with you when i had the opportunity. :( what was i thinking?? i knew you were awesome, even then.

by the way, where's the typed up version of a story about two kids learning their lesson?

and since when did this blog become a message board? poor missy! hope you don't mind!

at least a might-be-picture-less blog is good for something...

no, it can't be pictureless!!!
