Never Been....

The Science Museum was free this weekend, and we'd never been.

Out by the pier we saw this boat and wanted it.

Until we saw this yacht

And then we saw the ship we really wanted....

We thought the Science Museum would be packed but look how many people showed up!

Once inside the kids scattered like monkeys in banana trees. Everywhere you looked there was something to do:

Build an arch...

and walk on it.

Use an air machine to make a ball go through a basketball hoop.

Listen at a parabolic disc to a whisper 50 yards away.

Try to align these magnetic gears

Sit on a chair of nails.

Stand inside a giant bubble.

Pull yourself up by a pulley...
or someone else.

Use solar energy to make a model plane fly.

Make a light bulb glow with a crank.

Experiment with sound.

See yourself in infrared.

Lift more than your weight using a fulcrum...

Try again to lift more than your weight using a brother and a fulcrum.

Get scared in the Alien exhibit by a model from the movie "Alien".

Greyson and Kiki kept their ears plugged, they did not like this part of the exhibit.
Sawyer did.

Back outside there were booths where you could sit inside a real ambulance,

Pet local wildlife,

Watch acrobats,

And then it happened. He saw a race car! A real one!

And got to sit in it!

It was very satisfying.

It had been a very full day, and it was only noon!

The Science Fair had passed the Sawyer test.

This place looks so fun! It reminds me of the Montshire Museum down here, only yours has a bigger budget. I won't show this to my kids, or I'll never hear the end of their begging to go!
