What We Left Behind....

The yard was so icy we had to take these shots looking out from the porch.

These remind me of deer antlers somehow.

I like how almost all of these ice encrusted branches have icicles of their own, and the other trees stand like giant ghosts behind them.

Who eats these? Not people, although they look inviting enough. And if it were birds, surely they'd be devoured by now. Maybe God made them just for little girls to put in mud porridge when they play orphans.

Cool cat picture. Smithers was not shy about scouting out warm resting places.

If you look closely enough, you can see there is a second bird in this picture. The cardinal is warning the sparrow, through a mouthful of birdseed, "don't look now, I said don't look!".
