Sawyer got some treats today after his check-up. He kept asking to have them and finally made due with being able to take them out of the wrapper and set them on the counter to await the after-dinner hour. Just being able to look at that goodness, even if he couldn't get it in him, was joy enough.
Time passes so slowly when you're a treat-awaiting kid.

awww, the every alluring "after-dinner hour". Many a day I spent waiting for the precious moment of dessert after dinner. Of course, while I don't have kids yet and still can, I will continue to eat my dessert while I am making dinner ! Like I have done since I was 18 and moved out of the house and it is wonderful! It drives my husband nuts, but I know he secretly does it sometimes too!
