It Was Pumpkin Day Today.....

At a little farm around the corner you an pick out a big fat pumpkin for $2.50. This includes a miniature pumpkin for all your little punkins and...

A go at the candy bowl.

It also happened to be Thanksgiving today, in this country. But since Thanksgiving on a
Monday(?!) isn't really Thanksgiving to us, we've made our own tradition.

"Is this a good one Mom?"

"Are these good ones?"

"These are all good ones."

The giving tree-

and what to do with "the good ones"....

First you lay 'em all out....

Cut the stems off with your dandy safety scissors....

And...Wallah! (Big fat pumpkin sitting on the deck)

Twenty Years Ago....

This picture has been removed in self-denial of poundage

This is what we were wearing. (Except for the Mom jeans)

Why were we wearing it again?

An 80's party. Large Hair is pretty much all you needed to fit in.

A Cool Place to Go at Night....

There is a magical place to go at night time and this is what you'll see....
Walking along a lantern lit path....(Konstantin's head is not always available)

Through the promenade....

Of a Chinese Pagoda....

Pausing on a bridge....

To the lake of shining waters.See the rocks in the foreground? Aren't they the perfect place to scamper about so you can almost fall in the water?
Yep.

Wouldn't you love this place if you were a kid?

And if you didn't do any of these things:

You were also welcome to run about the maze. Run? I mean, walk nicely.

Like this.

And this.

We'll leave you with a parting Fall Recipe. My favorite:

Doodle Day

The 9th of every month is Doodle Day in school.

"Bunnies!"
Albeit, bunnies slightly reminiscent of the things waiting for me under my bed when I was little.

Here's the Report on the Economic Crisis...

Sawyer's figured it out for us. If you don't know a lot about finances it might be a little hard to read.
